Twenty Manning Grill is a restaurant located near Rittenhouse Square. The owner, Audrey Taichman, is the same owner as the BYOB Audrey Claire (in which we frequent a lot) which is located practically across the street. Twenty Manning Grill has a liquor license. This was my first time trying Twenty Manning Grill and I am glad that I did because I enjoyed Twenty Manning Grill more than Audrey Claire (although I’m still a big fan of Audrey Claire!). Twenty Manning Grill has actually been revamped this spring–both looks & menus. I believe that the restaurant is aiming to attract more of a casual crowd and serve a fresh, seasonal menu. I really enjoyed this restaurant and I already can’t wait to go back.
I started off with the Chop Chop salad. It was very fresh & flavorful. I really enjoyed it the different combination of flavors and textures. It was very large & filling…maybe a little bit too large.
Todd started off with the Caprese Salad. He thought that this salad was very good and that the ingredients were fresh.
For my entree, I ordered the Veggie Burger. This was easily the highlight of my meal. This is not your typical veggie patty; rather it is more of a portobello burger. I loved this burger so much. I can’t wait to go back to Twenty Manning Grill just so I can order this again. It was so flavorful and filling. It was served with a side of hand cut fries and pickles. I also loved how it was served on a wood plank.
Todd ordered the Charbroiled Beef Sirloin Noodles for his entree. He initial reaction was that the dish was outstanding. He thought that the portion was very large; however, it was light and not too filling. It was full of flavor and the meat was cooked perfectly.
As you can tell, we had an excellent first experience at Twenty Manning Grill. Unfortunately we were both too stuffed to get dessert. Hopefully on our next visit there we will have more room because I am sure they have excellent desserts as well.
