I love exploring new places to eat in Baltimore. There are a lot of hidden “gems” here. I just wish I wasn’t graduating in… 23 days (?)… I have so much left to see in Baltimore! Oh well…I am sure I can find plentyyyy to do in Philly! Speaking of Philadelphia, the Flyers made it to round 2 of the playoffs and will be playing game 1 versus the Boston Bruins on Saturday at 3 pm. So excited! Do you follow hockey?
Sorry. I got a little side tracked. There is this restaurant in the Federal Hill/Locust Point neighborhood of Baltimore called Paza Luna. My mom’s cousin is a chef and his daughters used to go to Loyola. Whenever he and his wife would visit their daughters they would go to this restaurant. I have been wanting to try it out for awhile. A few weeks ago Mary came to visit me at Loyola for the night and we decided to finally try it out! The food was great (especially my pappardelle primavera dish…I can’t get over how good it was) and the atmosphere was very homey and comfortable. Very good!
Here is a sample of the menu:
Complimentary bruschetta
Della Casa: house salad with mixed organic greens, grape tomatoes, olives, shaved parmesan, and veggies served with balsamic vinaigrette and toasted croutons

Spaghetti Pinto: jumbo shrimp sauteed in a tomato brandy & fresh herb sauce, finished with fresh arugula

Pappardelle Primavera: widely cut strips of pasta with mushroom, zucchini and tomato concasse in a garlic and herb vegetable broth

…no meal is complete without some gelato!

Woo Flyers!!! crazy you’re so close to graduating and also so glad you’re headed this way to live
cant wait to see you and Mary at Broad street in 2 days!
Gelato and Bruschetta are my favorite! My brother always scrapes off the tomatoes and I eat them with a spoon. Sooo good.
I LOVE THE FLYERS! My dad works for the Philly sports teams and my sister plays on a flyers youth ice hockey team, so we’re very into it. I hope they kill the Bruins, I’m still mad at them for beating us in the winter classic last year!
Complimentary anything is always a plus! It looks like you had a fantastic meal! Especially because it ended with gelato
