White Lightning Smoothie

The White Lightning Smoothie is Mary’s favorite…especially following a good workout.  It’s just like Christina’s drink of choice…the Chocolate Thunder Smoothie…except this one is Vanilla flavored instead of Chocolate!  If you’re more likely to order vanilla ice cream over chocolate, this smoothie is for you!  This smoothie combines some of the best ingredients including banana and peanut butter.  Not only does this smoothie taste good, it is the perfect recovery drink after a hard workout.  It’s packed with lots of protein that will help speed recovery.  We find that smoothies are a good choice following a long run because  liquids settle better in our stomachs than solids.

Ingredients

  • handful of ice
  • ~cup vanilla soy milk
  • spoonful of peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder

BLEND!!!!
