Marie Louise Bistro- Baltimore

On Valentines day, my girl friends and I decided to go out for a nice dinner together.  I did some searching around online and finally setteled on Marie Louise Bistro, a french/italian/mediterranean restaurant located in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Baltimore.  i was a little hesitant at first; how could a restaurant offer three different cuisines!?  My hesitation was put at ease  as soon as we walked into the restaurant.  The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was very nice…very French-esque! haha I wouldn’t say this place was necessarily cheap but as compared to other restaurants, the prices were very reasonable.  For example, the most expensive thing on the menu is $20.95 and the 6 vegetarian entrees are only about 12 dollars.  The food was all delicious. Everyone loved their appetizers, entrees, and desert.  There was not one unsatisfied mouth at our 7 person table.  Unfortunately, the photos I took did not come out AT ALL…I am so sorry!  But trust me, the food is good and this place is worth a shot!

We started off with some bread and 2 bottles of chardonnay for the table.

Kelly and Hillary started off with French Onion Soup

McKay, Michelle, and Krissy ordered the Maryland Crab Soup

Anne ordered the Caesar salad…and I ordered the Bistro salad (Mixed greens, walnuts, goat cheese, English cucumber, & red onion with parmagiana vinaigrette) to start:

For our entrees Mckay, Hillary, and Michelle ordered the Portabella sandwich (Topped with feta &roasted red pepper and served with pommes frites…aka french fries):

Krissy and I ordered the Marinated Grilled Portabella: Stuffed with feta, pesto, pine nuts, &roasted red pepper over a bed of wilted arugula):

Anne ordered the Le Steak Maison (NY Strip Steak with parsley-garlic butter and served with mashed potatoes)

For dessert, we ordered a few things to share: Chocolate Truffles, Apple cake, and gelato…
