Osteriais another Marc Vetri restaurant.  We celebrated Mary’s 23rd birthday here.

Shortly after we sat down, the lemons (which were real by the way) were replaced with delicious bread…

we ordered Three awesome pizzas…

Marinara - crushed San Marzano Tomatoes, oregano, & garlic.

Parma - mozzarella, fontina, arugula, and prosciutto di parma.

and our personal favorite…

Polpo - Octopus, tomato, red chili flakes, and smoked mozzarella.

The smoked mozzarella really made this pizza so much better!  we will have to experiment with smoked mozzarella the next time we make pizza!

Fusili with fava beans, pecorino and mint.

really good…nice and refreshing tasting! next up..

Robiola Francobolli with royal trumpet mushrooms and thyme.

This was awesome. Osteria makes fantastic Raviolis…they are tiny and practically melt in your mouth.

Mozzarella in Carrozza with olive oil poached pear tomatoes and capers.

Rabbit "casalinga" with pancetta, sage, brown butter, and soft polenta.

Wild Halibut al cartoccio with olives, potatoes, and oregano.

House aged rib-eye "fiorentina" with grilled spring onions, watercress, and balsamic.

For Dessert we all ordered a bunch of different flavors of sorbet/gelato…all of which was absolutely delicious.  However, the portions of gelato/sorbet that they give you are HUGE.  sharing one with someone may not be a bad idea…
