Village Whiskey is one of Jose Garces’ many restaurants in Philadelphia. Todd took me here one night during the week after grad school classes. We did not have a reservation and there was a bit of a wait but we decided to wait.
To drink, I had a glass of wine. For our appetizer, we had the Truffle Lemon Artichokes which came with warm toasted bread, whipped ricotta and black olive tapenade.
For my entree, I ordered the Veggie Burger–black bean & lentil, Guacamole, Pickled Red Cabbage.
This was amazing! So big too! I absolutely love veggie burgers and the guacamole was an awesome touch.
I also ordered French Fries with their housemade Ketchup.
Todd ordered the burger but for some reason I didn’t snap a picture! Probably because the seating in this restaurant is very tight and there may have been a few people staring at me photographing my food. That’s okay though!
This was a great dinner. I’d definitely go back to this restaurant just for the veggie burger.
Right across the street from this restaurant is Capogiro, one of the best places for gelato in the city.
