On Saturday night, one of Christina’s best friend from College, Lauren was visiting for the weekend. Our family took her out to dinner to a restaurant in Atlantic City called Knife & Fork Inn. This restaurant is pretty well known around the Jersey Shore area. The Knife and Fork Inn is a steak and seafood restaurant with a sort of classic feel inside. When you first walk in there is a bar and a separate room for dinner. This room is pretty neat because there is a glass window where you can watch the chefs preparing all of the meals. It is very fun to watch! There are two floors upstairs for the bar, each with a unique feel from the next. The Knife & Fork’s also has a 10,000-bottle wine “cellar” located on the third floor. We ate on the third floor this time we visited.
Here we are outside of the knife and fork before dinner….
We started the night off with a bottle of wine and each ordered an appetizer.
Christina and Danielle each ordered the Arugula Salad: POMEGRANATE VINAIGRETTE, FETA, PINE NUTS, GOLDEN RAISINS & CRANBERRIES. This salad was very good…the pomegranate dressing gave the salad a very fresh taste!
Lauren and our Dad ordered the Tomato and buffalo mozzarella with basil infused olive oil and a balsamic glaze
My Mom ordered Corn and Crab Chowder but Christina didnt take a photo…sorry!!
For dinner both our Mom, Dad, and Danielle ordered 8 ounce Filet Mignons (sorry for the poor photo quality…the lighting was not very good inside the restaurant!)
Christina ordered the Lobster Tail poached in garlic, lemon, and tarragon butter:
Lauren ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with asian pear slaw and spicy red pepper coulis.
We also ordered some sides to share: Goat Cheese Gratin Potatoes, Sauteed Wild Mushrooms, Braised Rosemary Carrots, and sauteed spinach with shaved parmesan…didn’t take any photos though.
For dessert Danielle and Christina ordered vanilla gelato with berries and banana (boring, I know. but delicious nonetheless), our Mom and Dad split the Jersey Blueberry Pie and Lauren ordered the Banana chocolate burrito with vanilla gelato. We all ordered hot tea with our desserts as well. Needless to say, by the end of this meal we were all stuffed….but it was well worth it! Very good food, fun company, and a great night!
